With our help, the UK is set to enhance its strategic status in the global spaceflight market. The new regulatory model aims to protect the public, safeguard the environment and maintain the UK’s reputation for safety.

We helped the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) commission a set of inspirational tools to stretch the organisation’s thinking about the future and make sure defence strategy takes account of the new threats ahead.

Every year the Marie Curie charity provides care for more than 40,000 terminally ill people in the UK. As the charity had to restrict open visiting due to COVID-19, we enabled hospice staff to roll out virtual visits instead, with a clear process that helps them do this quickly, safely and securely at no added cost.

To highlight online vulnerabilities and help protect children, we partnered with the WePROTECT Global Alliance to create the first Global Threat Assessment - a report which ensures countries and organisations have a consistent approach to identifying, managing and preventing this growing, persistent and historically unseen threat, globally.

In a complex technology programme, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is introducing a new electronic monitoring system with GPS tracking to improve offender management. After a series of set-backs and disputes ground the programme to a halt, the MoJ called PA to help get it back on track.

Our diverse team, including experts in IT delivery, transformation, business design and product, design and engineering with a special focus on supply chains, blockchain and automation, worked closely with DFID to understand the challenges facing those providing and delivering aid. We helped DFID explore how blockchain technology can increase accountability and make the supply more transparent to ensure people in need get vital supplies.

Ending the sale of petrol and diesel cars by 2030 is key to the UK government’s plans to address the climate emergency. Yet motorists’ concerns about being able to charge electric vehicles (EVs) easily is a barrier to this policy. To answer those concerns and encourage more people to switch to EVs, we collaborated with the Royal College of Art to design and develop the blueprint for an emblematic chargepoint.

The Crown Prosecution Service in England and Wales prosecutes almost half a million cases every year, working closely with the courts, police, defence teams and probation. We redesigned the way the CPS could manage cases in the future to support a major investment in digital capability and enable the Criminal Justice System to operate more smoothly for everyone.

UK justice is the envy of the rest of the world. But the service the public and professionals experience in bringing it about can be slow and frustrating. Processes are often unwieldy and staff hamstrung by systems and procedures. Court buildings are often out-dated and IT has fallen behind the revolution that’s taken place in wider society.

In partnership with Global Government Forum, we surveyed 1,796 civil servants across nine countries to explore how government responsiveness has changed, revealing five key priorities for governments in the face of unprecedented change.
