Sustainability expert Tony Perrotta joins PA Consulting

Anthony (Tony) Perrotta joins PA Consulting (PA), the consultancy that’s bringing ingenuity to life, as a Partner. Tony will help PA’s US consumer and manufacturing clients with growth strategy, sustainability and regenerative economy projects.

Tony has more than 25 years’ experience in sales leadership, consumer goods, retail, sustainability and innovation. He joins PA most recently from Plastic Bank, a blockchain-enabled social impact company focused on revealing the value in plastic waste, where he served as Global Head of Sales and Chief Revenue Officer. Previously Tony served as Chief Revenue Officer at Shopperations and as a President of Advantage Sales and Marketing. Tony has also served on multiple advisory boards helping build a revenue map, market narrative and executable action plans, including for a chemical technology startup focused on plastic waste conversion and a public company focused on SaaS enabled food safety and compliance.

Clients hire PA to help them embrace ingenuity and sustainability to transform business performance. We work with corporates, start-ups, policy makers, thought leaders and investors across multiple sectors to create a positive human future in a technology-driven world. PA recently created a 100 per cent plastic-free, sustainable and home compostable tea bag for Tea Sheets, worked with Stuffstr to enable an innovative circular economy business model and developed lightweight recycling packaging for craft spirits company Dunnet Bay Distillers.

PA is a member of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and a signatory of, and specialist technical advisor to, the UN Global Compact. PA acts as the Global Application development center for PulPac, a Swedish company that has developed a dry pulp-forming technology that rivals commodity plastics in both performance and cost – Tony will take a lead in expanding PulPac’s solutions to many of our global clients. In addition, Tony will be charged with bringing PA’s full suite of innovative sustainability solutions to the challenges of the world’s largest FMCG/CPG, and Retail organizations.

Although COVID-19 has refocused the world’s attention on critical priorities, the global need for businesses to operate more sustainably remains an imperative. Yet the current disruption also provides organizations with an unprecedented opportunity to rebuild and restructure to a more sustainable blueprint. Significant commercial opportunities await organizations that make sustainability part of how they do business.

Wil Schoenmakers, global consumer and manufacturing practice lead at PA Consulting, says: “We welcome Tony to the team. Sustainability is no longer a ‘nice to do’ but an important ‘must do’ part of conducting business. And now is the time to act in order to meet global sustainable development goals. Our clients will benefit from Tony’s background and dedication to solving some of the world’s largest environmental and sustainability challenges.”

Tony Perrotta, sustainability and growth expert at PA Consulting, says: "I’m excited and honored to be of service to PA, especially at a time when ingenuity is the only path to overcoming the sustainability challenges we face as a global community. Now more than ever, the call to action for sustainable practices, beneficial impact and the regenerative economy require transformative innovation.”
