Peter Wardell, PA outsourcing expert, is quoted in an article in Computer Sweden discussing the results from this years IT outsourcing survey in the Nordics, conducted by Whitelane Reserach and PA Consulting Group.
The article highlights how Indian outsourcing companies maintain a strong position when it comes to customer satisfaction and Peter says this is due to the market maturing and more customers being willing to invest in offshoring: "Many customers have learned to deal with cultural differences while foreign suppliers have learnt to adapt to them."
HP is one company which has improved its position from the past year - up eight places to 17 for customer satisfaction.
The article also draws attention to companies' lean towards insourcing. "Front-end and web development projects which require extremly high flexibility and helpdesks are areas where many companies want their own, internal expertise," says Peter.
Peter concludes: "We understand that the need to adapt to the digital age for many companies is having an impact on their outsourcing strategies. Cost reduction has allways been their number one priority but there is also a need to free up resources to cope with the increasing number of digital projects that need to be carried out."
