As AstraZeneca embarked on an agile transformation of its IT change portfolio to enhance delivery, they asked us for support. We provided the organisational change management expertise, agile transformation strategy, training and coaching.

AstraZeneca (AZ), the global biopharmaceutical organisation who employs 61,500 people, has published their agile story on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) website. Back in 2014, AZ decided to adopt agile methods across its IT change portfolio to enhance delivery. With such a significant scale of transformation, the organisation and cultural change were essential to success. A year into the programme, AZ appointed PA to support their transformation. PA provided the organisational change management expertise, agile transformation strategy, training and coaching. The first step in the adoption of agile was to appoint and train change leaders across the organisation to guide teams through the agile transformation.
Eighteen months into the journey a substantial transformation has already occurred with over 1,000 employees trained in agile and 20 large teams adopting agile who are reporting delivery and quality benefits.
