At PA, we believe everyone can progress further, faster. Join us and you'll be encouraged to ask the big questions that get you to the ingenious answers that take our clients further, faster.

What to expect

  • The first stage is to apply online by uploading your CV and cover letter.

  • First-round interviews last around 30 minutes. We want to understand your reasons for applying to PA and your chosen business area. We’ll ask you about specific areas of interest from your CV and we’ll invite you to discuss how your experiences have shaped your skills.

  • The next stage will test your general business acumen and potential consulting skills. You won’t need to prepare anything in advance – we’ll provide all the materials and give you time to prepare on the day. The content of the interview varies by business area. However, most assessment days include:

    • a competency-based interview
    • a case study
    • a group exercise
  • The final stage of the process will see you interviewed by a Partner or Senior Manager from the service or sector you’ve applied to, in person or over the phone, for up to one hour. It’s your chance to ask any remaining questions, as we make a final assessment of your suitability for the role.

Principal Consultant in People & Talent, London

I joined PA 8 years ago, to support organisations with culture change, leadership and people development, workforce futures, innovative learning approaches and talent management. A highlight for me was the opportunity I had to lead a client’s EMEA finance transformation and then establishing their APAC finance transformation, resulting in me spending 7 months in Hong Kong. PA provides me with the opportunity to work on interesting assignments whilst also driving internal projects that I really value, such as delivering training, managing others, mentoring more junior colleagues, and most recently becoming the Chair of PA’s Global Women’s Network.

Principal Consultant in Defence & Security, London

I started working at PA in February 2018. I joined PA as a Consultant and have just been promoted to Principal Consultant. As someone who is half Jamaican, half Irish and grew up in the cultural melting pot of North London, embracing the benefits that diversity can offer at work is important to me. I’ve been heartened by the commitment across all grades at PA to embracing the benefits of Inclusion & Diversity of our people and ways of working. At PA I’m surrounded by some of the brightest and hardworking people I’ve ever met. I’m yet to meet a person who won’t go the extra mile for one of their clients or to help me with one of mine. So many of our people are dedicated to improving the company; for example, improving how we manage workloads, mental wellbeing and embracing inclusion and diversity and. All these characteristics perpetuate a great working environment that I want to stay part of.
