PA Consulting Group has assisted Clifford Chance, the world's largest law firm, with the implementation of a new 'collaborative working' service.
Elliot Rose, Senior Consultant with PA Consulting Group, said:
'With the trend towards globalisation within many large organisations, there is a need to collaborate across geographic and time barriers. In the professional services sector, clients are demanding secure Internet-enabled collaborative working areas in order to have real-time access to documents and information.'
The provision of secure Internet-enabled collaborative working areas for its clients was, therefore, viewed by Clifford Chance as being of strategic importance and was a key component of the firm's plans to use new technology to strengthen relationships with clients. It was also seen as key to helping Clifford Chance to support its position as a leading provider of on-line legal services.
Clifford Chance appointed PA to assist with the implementation of such a service in the shortest possible time-frame. Within six months, a global solution - CliffordChanceConnect - had been successfully implemented.
Clifford Chance is now able to create collaborative working areas for staff and clients rapidly and without the need for new technology or technical IT expertise. These working areas provide a fast and secure information exchange and enable transparent recording of information.
The ability to deliver these new on-line services has served to strengthen relationships between Clifford Chance and its clients.
Michael Bray, CEO Clifford Chance, commented:
'Benefits to our clients from CliffordChanceConnect will not be limited just to the immediate ones of more efficient deal and project management. By encouraging greater and more productive teamwork between clients and Clifford Chance, the new service will allow us to deepen our understanding of clients' businesses and thereby give us opportunities to find new ways of enhancing our services to them.'
Elliot Rose of PA Consulting Group will be chairing a seminar on 'On-line dealrooms' at the LegalTech exhibition, London, at 12.30pm on Wednesday 31st October. The session will also include case studies by Clifford Chance and Linklaters & Alliance.
