Their contract with an external provider for developing and managing the IT applications it uses was due to expire and they decided they wanted the service provided over the cloud from a third party.   • NSB: Facing competition for the first time with confidenceMajor reform of the Norwegian rail industry will come into effect at the beginning of 2017, ending NSB's monopoly in the country's rail sector.   • Network Rail: Protecting the UK's rail infrastructure from cyber attackNetwork Rail operates and maintains 20,000 miles of track, 32,000 bridges and tunnels and 18 major stations across the UK. They recently embarked upon a £30 billion investment programme to upgrade that infrastructure to use digital systems to increase capacity and efficiency. With the support of PA, cyber security is now at the core of their activities. With new systems planned and a well-informed workforce, Network Rail can make sure the railways will be safe from cyber threats in future. 06/06/2016
