PA Consulting’s Caroline Field, organisational resilience expert, comments on the importance of organisational resilience in the modern workplace in an article by Oliver Pickup in WorkLife.

Commenting on this, Caroline says that “Fortitude might encompass the persistence and resistance of a system, but resilience includes the resourcefulness to find solutions ingeniously”.

The article goes on to highlight the results from ‘A New Way to Lead’, which shows that 69% of the 300 leaders surveyed admitted they need to change their leadership style, especially to help themselves and those around them to build resilience.Caroline adds “Resilience is far beyond grit and graft and goes past fortitude and Fortitude might encompass the persistence and resistance of a system, but resilience includes the resourcefulness to find solutions ingeniously”.
