Renewables and growth strategy expert Rasmus Lundsgaard Nielsen joins PA Consulting’s Energy and Utilities practice

Rasmus Lundsgaard Nielsen joins PA Consulting (PA), the consultancy that’s bringing ingenuity to life, as a Partner in Energy and Utilities and will in a global capacity be joining our leadership team in its Climate Response unit.  

Rasmus brings a proven track record of executing strategic and commercial transformations for both private equity-backed and listed global companies. He has extensive experience in renewables and the broader energy transition and decarbonisation agenda. 

Before joining PA Consulting, Rasmus worked in both executive and advisory roles. Among others, Rasmus has been the Head of Corporate Strategy, M&A and Global Intelligence and part of the Executive Committee at Vestas Wind Power, Board Member at Utopus Insights (a US-based Energy IoT business), Engagement Partner at QVARTZ/Bain & Company. Most recently, Rasmus founded Lundsgaard Advisory, a boutique consultancy primarily advising private equity clients on strategy and transaction services in the power and renewables sector. 

Rasmus’ arrival follows an influx of new partners across the Energy and Utilities practice in Europe over the last six months, including offshore wind energy expert, Alon Carmel, smart energy and retail expert, Amy Marshall, nuclear experts, Andrea Sinnott and Matt Leedham, clean energy and technology expert, David Sanders, and energy transition and carbon value chain expert, John Knight.
