She explains organisations need to handle the situation with “kindness and proactivity”, which is imperative to protecting the wellbeing of those directly impacted.
Adding: A “psychologically safe space” should be created for everyone.
Amy concludes: “This can enable those who are leaving to leave well and those who remain to lead their teams with purpose and authenticity. This will not only enable the employer to discharge its duty to protect employees from harm and fulfil its health and safety obligations, but a healthy workforce will benefit the employer in terms of productivity and goodwill.”
