Aerospace industry grounded by lost jobs and lack of staff

PA Consulting’s Alison Gregory, people and change expert, comments on attracting, recruiting and retaining talent across the aerospace and defence industry in an article for the Financial Times’ Aerospace and Defence Special Report.

The article discusses the personnel challenges seen across the industry and the ongoing fallout of the pandemic, with staff shortages causing issues across the supply chain.

Commenting on how the industry can help attract talent, Alison explains that offering a range of opportunities is key.

Alison goes on to add that: “With so many different roles across such a vast industry, there should be opportunities for people to have ‘zigzag’ careers and opportunities for secondments — helping to retain key talent and offering an attractive proposition to potential candidates.”
