Dansk Industri spoke with Henrik Ringgaard Harbo, Head of Nordics at PA Consulting, about what is currently top of mind for him, where he sees the company’s greatest opportunities, and how he works to deliver quality and pace in a time of change and growth.

What is occupying you at the moment?

“What occupies us most right now is turning our new Nordic strategy for 2025–2028 into concrete action in a market that is changing rapidly. We are working purposefully to strengthen PA Consulting as one unified Nordic region with shared priorities and even better use of our global capabilities and experience, enabling us to deliver strong end-to-end solutions to our clients.”

“We have a clear focus on the sectors and markets where we are strongest and where we can offer our clients unique experience and insight. These are areas in which we have built deep industry knowledge and solid experience in creating real change for our clients, both in the Nordics and internationally. With around 300 talented consultants across Denmark, Sweden and Norway, and a long and proud history in the Nordics, we have a strong foundation, on which we are now building by making even more active use of PA’s global network and partnerships.”

What do you see as your biggest opportunity in the coming years?

“Our biggest opportunity lies in combining our strong Nordic market position with global capabilities within some of today’s most transformation-driven agendas. Public sector organisations and private companies are facing critical choices in areas such as security and resilience, cybersecurity and AI, digital transformation, the green transition, and an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.”

“This is where we have a clear position of strength. We deliberately focus on the sectors where we can create the greatest value – including energy and utilities, the public sector, transport, financial services and life sciences – and where we can scale solutions across the Nordics and globally. At the same time, we see significant potential to grow through partnerships and to an even greater extent bring international experience and best practice to our Nordic clients.”

What do you see as your biggest challenge in the coming years?

“The biggest challenge will be maintaining high quality and momentum in a market where clients are making ever greater demands for proven impact, speed and flexibility. Projects are often more focused and shorter in duration, and competition from both global consultancies and specialised players is intense.”

“This requires sharp prioritisation, building critical mass in our selected markets, and at the same time ensuring that we remain an attractive place for talented consultants. Investment in skills development, personal development, strong collaboration across countries, and a clear shared culture as one unified Nordic team is essential if we are to succeed in achieving our ambitions.”

We asked PA Consulting to highlight a particular service or offering

“We do not see our services as standalone products, but as integrated solutions spanning strategy and design through to technology and implementation. What characterises PA Consulting is our ability to combine insight with concrete action, tailored to our clients and their specific needs.”

“Whether we are working on digital transformation, AI and cybersecurity, the green transition or complex changeprogrammes, our ambition is the same: to create lasting results that can be felt – both within organisations and in society. It is precisely this approach that underpins our Nordic strategy and our continued growth.”
