28 July 2020

Charles F. Koontz has joined PA Consulting (PA), the consultancy that’s bringing ingenuity to life, to co-lead PA’s healthcare provider team alongside Bret Schroeder.

Charles helps healthcare organizations improve patient outcomes through digital transformation. At PA, he is leading US telehealth, analytics, and digital twins programs. He has an extensive background in global business processes, strategic planning, organizational design/development, operations improvement, business development and account management. He previously served as Chief Digital Officer and EVP at Ecolab, President and CEO of GE Healthcare Digital, and Chief Digital Officer at GE Healthcare.

PA’s US health and life sciences team looks for innovative ways to improve quality of life. Clients hire PA to develop world-leading innovations, such as the Clinician Matching Network that improves COVID-19 patient care by matching doctors to hospitals. PA also played a critical role in the UK Ventilator Challenge program in the COVID-19 response, having been called on by the Cabinet Office to provide technology, sourcing, engineering, healthcare and project management expertise.

Ken Toombs, Head of Americas at PA Consulting, says: “We welcome Charles to the team. His unique expertise in the healthcare, technology, and telecommunications space will provide our US healthcare clients with ingenious solutions, particularly regarding improving clinical and operational outcomes.”

Charles Koontz, healthcare expert at PA Consulting, says: “Several years ago I had the opportunity to work with PA from the client side and understand the Firm’s culture, strategy and the outstanding results they deliver. PA’s reputation is second to none and the consultants are some of the best in the world. I am thrilled to join the team and help expand PA’s global presence in healthcare.”
