PA helped Vattenfall reduce their costs by more than 8 Million Euros. With an annual turnover of €500 million, Vattenfall Generation DK represents a key player in the Danish energy market. Vattenfall’s management team wanted to reduce cost, improve work-life balance for all employees and free up more time for business development projects.
PA Consulting Group worked with the entire organisation from CEO to employee level to analyse and improve business processes through four initiatives: high-level process mapping, strategic competence planning, daily performance management, and the development of new tools to support continuous improvement. This helped to embed the company’s strategic vision into the day-to-day running of the company, which simultaneously lowered costs and increased employee satisfaction from 46% to 54%.
Vattenfall was able to realise cost reductions of over €8 million because of increased productivity, more efficient ways of working, a more focused workforce and improved skills in the organisation.
