Sir - A different approach to fixing Britain's ATM deprivation (report, 16 August) could be a single, unbranded ATM network that comes alive (as Lloyds TSB, for example) when that bank's card is inserted.
This could mean a self-funding spread of ATMs, delivering constructive change in retail banking and addressing the conflict between profitability and social need-driven regulation.
