The PA Foundation’s impact reporting series

The PA Foundation has supported over 56 charitable organisations since it was founded, inspiring people – particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds – to be the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.

Through our partners we are reaching over 21,000 people directly. Sharing the experiences of those we are reaching through our funding is important, not least to highlight the resilience and determination many of our participants show us every day. Below is the start of our impact reporting, which provides first-hand testimonials and evidence of the impact we are having across the UK, US, Nordics, and Netherlands.

Investing in the leaders and innovators of tomorrow

This report highlights the impact The PA Foundation has made to date towards our mission of developing and inspiring people, particularly those facing disadvantage, to be the innovators and leaders of tomorrow, applying their ingenuity to solve the world’s biggest challenges.

My journey has not been easy. I have struggled financially and there was a time when I couldn’t afford the basic tools I needed for my studies. The bursary changed everything. With that support, I was able to buy a stethoscope, medical textbooks, scrubs and a lab coat. I could finally afford the travel costs for clinical placements. But more than that, the bursary was a message: that my dreams were valid, and that others believed in me.”

Equipping young people for a fair chance at a bright future

This report looks at the challenges faced by young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, as they navigate their options and make the important decisions about their own lives. We share the perspectives of both the young people we work with and the organisations supporting them to ensure participants are as prepared, confident, and excited as they can be about their own futures.
Springboard has given me a truly invaluable hint of experience in the corporate world of work. Not only what to put down on a CV and help with interviews but also as a useful piece of experience for my own personal development. It is because of the Springboard programme I know I am well suited to a corporate work style, especially work similar to that of a consultant.”

Supporting a positive, post-prison future

This report looks at those who are trying to build a better future after their release from prison. We highlight the work of The PA Foundation’s partner organisations that support prison leavers reintegrate back into society and hear directly from those that have benefitted from this support.

I was made to feel that even though I was in prison, I could still achieve and better myself. StandOut helped me stay motivated and positive, which gives people hope that even after prison they can still achieve and live a prosperous life.”

Supporting migrants and refugees to thrive, not just survive

This report looks at the challenges faced by migrants and refugees to gain meaningful employment. We highlight the work of The PA Foundation’s partner organisations that support migrants and refugees every day and hear directly from participants of their programmes about how they are building the lives they desire and deserve.

This partnership has opened doors to PA’s vast network of professionals who volunteer and share their expertise, enriching our mentorship programmes, and broadening our community impact. I am really excited about the future, and we are aiming for a deep, long-lasting partnership with The PA Foundation that will not only sustain but expand our capabilities. We are looking to tap more into PA’s network, bringing in a richer diversity of insights and expertise.”
