PA Consulting's Adam Stringer discusses what shareholders expect of Boards when it comes to cybersecurity from a governance and disclosure perspective in an article by Jessica Tasman-Jones in FT Board Network.
Commenting on this, Adam says: "The SEC rules have driven a "huge increase" in boards asking their executive teams to strengthen the governance, oversight and incident management processes to determine what needs to be disclosed."
Adding: "Shareholders are increasingly expecting cyber expertise at board level and a comprehensive approach to cyber controls that goes well beyond the technical, such as governance, response planning, awareness and training."
