Hybrid working - our approach is to be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

We are looking for a Microsoft 365 & AI Specialist to help our people work more effectively using Microsoft 365, Copilot, agents and emerging AI technologies.

Working within the internal IT department, you'll independently engage stakeholders, understand business problems and turn ideas into practical solutions. You'll build confidence in AI-enabled working and support adoption and continuous improvement across Microsoft 365 services.

The role is suited to someone with growing subject matter expertise in Microsoft 365 and AI who is curious, delivery-focused and comfortable working across users, technical teams, service owners and stakeholders.

Dimensions of Role

You'll work across the business as a practical enabler, helping teams identify opportunities, define needs and deliver usable, supportable solutions across Copilot, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, agent-building tools and related Microsoft technologies. The role combines hands-on delivery with consultation, adoption and service improvement, bridging the gap between business users, technical teams and service owners.

Activities may include shaping an agent or workflow, facilitating an AI workshop, supporting a pilot, resolving an issue, creating guidance, evaluating a new capability or coordinating technical and business stakeholders. You'll follow opportunities from initial idea through design, testing, adoption and transition into support, ensuring that lessons learned inform future services and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage stakeholders to understand business problems, identify opportunities and recommend practical Microsoft 365, Copilot and AI-enabled solutions

  • Run structured discovery activities to clarify requirements, desired outcomes, constraints, risks and measures of success

  • Build or support agents, workflows, automations and low-code solutions, working with service owners and technical specialists where needed

  • Translate requirements into clear designs, user stories, prototypes, guidance or implementation plans appropriate to the scale of the opportunity

  • Drive adoption through demonstrations, workshops, training, communications and clear user guidance tailored to different audiences to support the adoption and effective use of Microsoft 365 Copilot and other AI capabilities across the organisation

  • Support pilots and proofs of concept, including requirements, testing, feedback, success measures and follow-up actions

  • Apply responsible AI, governance, security, licensing, lifecycle and supportability considerations to new solutions

  • Evaluate new Microsoft capabilities and use adoption, usage, feedback and support data to recommend improvements and prioritise next steps

  • Contribute to reusable patterns, standards and communities of practice so that successful approaches can be shared and scaled

  • Plan and organise work, manage risks and issues, communicate progress and share learning across Microsoft 365 and AI services.

Qualifications

Essential Experience / Personal Qualities

  • Growing subject matter expertise in Microsoft 365, Copilot, AI-enabled working or related digital workplace technologies

  • Ability to work independently, organise complex tasks and deliver to agreed standards and deadlines

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders, facilitate discussions, adapt to different audiences and explain technical concepts simply

  • Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to turn ambiguous needs into usable solutions, guidance or next steps

  • Experience contributing to pilots, change initiatives or service improvements and working through feedback to reach a practical outcome

  • Awareness of information protection, security, governance and support considerations in a managed technology environment

  • Curiosity about AI and emerging technology, with sound judgement about responsible and ethical use

  • A collaborative, evidence-led approach to continuous improvement, relationship building and sharing knowledge

  • Enthusiastic about helping people use technology confidently and effectively

  • Proactive in building relationships, seeking feedback and following work through to a clear outcome.

Desirable Experience / Personal Qualities

  • Hands-on experience with Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, SharePoint agents, Agent Builder or similar Microsoft 365 tools

  • Experience building simple agents, automations, workflows or low-code solutions

  • Experience delivering demonstrations, training or adoption activities and creating supporting materials

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications or equivalent practical experience.
