Innovation is everywhere - but impact is lagging.

To explore the barriers to translating ideas into impact, we drew on data commissioned by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) into ‘innovation adoption and diffusion’.

Using results from our survey of 4,595 business across the UK, covering different business sizes and sectors, our research explores how innovation can move from great ideas to incredible outcomes.

The findings are clear: adoption is powered by people but blocked by complexity. And while ambition is high, support isn’t always where it’s needed. This is a new lens on innovation - one that focuses on what it takes to turn potential into progress.
