Energy and digital infrastructure investors

Powering the digital backbone of a resilient energy transition

Digital infrastructure is a critical part of the US economy, supporting everything from cloud services to artificial intelligence (AI)-driven innovation.

As processing power demand increases, so does the challenge of securing reliable, low-carbon power while navigating complex energy markets. Meeting this challenge is essential to achieving a resilient energy transition.

Digital infrastructure is only as strong as the power behind it. At PA, we bring together strategy, technology, regulation, M&A, and deep energy markets knowledge to help clients move faster, invest smarter, and build more resilient infrastructure. Whether navigating interconnection complexity, structuring power supply deals, or pressure-testing grid resilience, we help leaders seize the opportunity and support the systems the digital economy runs on.”

In 2025, we supported clients on investments that are redefining the sector, including:

  • GI Partners’ $1bn investment in Flexential, a company that provides data centre colocation, cloud services, and connectivity to help businesses run their IT systems reliably and securely. We advised on funding for the development of Flexential’s data centre pipeline.
  • Low Carbon Infrastructure landmark deal with Google: We advised on power contract negotiations for the Broadwing Energy Centre in Illinois, enabling Google to secure reliable, low-carbon energy for AI and data centre growth.
  • Plus Power’s $160 million tax equity raise: We advised on tax equity financing for the Cranberry Point Energy Storage and Cross Town Energy Storage systems, the two largest of their kind in New England.
Data centres are reshaping how electric grids are planned, how market design evolves, and how capital flows across the energy value chain. The complexity is big – but the opportunity is even bigger. The winners will be those who move power from promise to delivery faster than the competition. That's exactly where PA plays.”
