UK industrial placements
A number of our business areas offer 12-month placements for those who require a year in industry as part of their degree. We offer placements in our digital and consulting sectors. Our industrial placement programmes are designed to give you practical experience and insight working on client and internal projects.
You’ll have access to lots of learning and development opportunities, and you will be encouraged to build your network and collaborate with colleagues to achieve impactful results. Complete the year successfully and you can expect to be fast-tracked through the graduate recruitment process when you finish your studies.
Consulting
During your 12 months as an industrial placement student at PA, you’ll learn some of what it takes to be a top-notch consultant. You’ll be coached and guided by experts and have countless opportunities to broaden your experience. We have opportunities across a range of areas from programme and project management, large-scale business transformation, through to tackling our clients’ biggest business and strategic challenges.
We have no specific prerequisites in terms of degree grade or specialism for our consulting placement opportunities. At the end of your placement, we hope to be able to offer you a graduate role after your studies, subject to performance.

Join PA as a Business Design & Transformation Industrial Placement Student and immerse yourself in real consulting projects, working alongside industry experts. Gain hands-on experience in shaping operating models, managing change, and driving innovation. Digital and data
Digital and data has changed businesses forever. Organisations that have embraced digital are leading their industry and influencing others – and those that haven’t are falling behind.
Joining us on a digital and data industrial placement will give you the opportunity to work on an assortment of exciting projects providing innovative analytical solutions to our clients' most critical business issues within digital and cyber security.
Join our cyber security team to help clients build digital trust, protect data, and recover from cyber-attacks. Gain broad experience across the information security spectrum, develop key skills, and contribute to secure, resilient businesses. Applicants from all degree backgrounds are welcome but a passion for and deep understanding of cyber security is expected.
Working within our digital and data function, you will get stuck into delivering some of the most advanced solutions for our clients. You’ll have exposure on your placement to AI, data science/ engineering, strategy and design, and architecture and DevOps client projects. You’ll need an undergraduate degree in any discipline that involves computer science, data science, or numeracy skills.
