Recognising our success

In 2025, we embarked on an exercise to assess our inclusion programme through a number of third party and external accreditation, assessments and benchmarks.

In 2025, our UK business was pleased to be recognised as one of the UK’s Top 30 Employers for Working Families by Working Families, the national charity for working parents and carers. This recognition celebrates organisations that lead the way in supporting parents and carers through flexible and family-friendly policies. Following a benchmark review, we joined a select group of employers from across the public, private, and third sectors who are setting the standard for inclusive workplaces. Being named a Top 30 Employer is a testament to our ongoing commitment to creating a workplace where working parents and carers can thrive.

How we’re driving progress

Improving the experience of returning to work and caring for others alongside working lives

Policies that make the difference

Since January 2023, we have offered extensive enhanced parental leave policies in all of our geographies, making eligibility for parental leave an automatic day one right for all employees. We also introduced a suite of enhanced benefits and support for new or returning parents. We continue to monitor trends and legislation on workplace family-leave policies. In 2025, we introduced a new neonatal care policy, ensuring we provide best-in-class support to parents in what can be an overwhelming and emotionally challenging time.

Supporting parents and their managers

We provide a Working Families Playbook to provide guidance and support to those returning to work and their managers, which offers step-by-step guidance, including tips and exercises on how to plan for, navigate, and return from a parental leave journey.

Adjustments to working-family life

We offer temporary adjustment of performance objectives to support colleagues before or after the birth or adoption of a child allowing parents time to adjust to working life. We also offer colleagues returning from extended parental leave the opportunity to receive external coaching, regardless of region and job level, to support their continued career growth.

Providing cover to parents and carers

In the UK, we have integrated a new back-up care provider designed to support parents and carers when their regular care arrangements for children and adult dependents fall through. The provision offers flexible, trusted childcare and adult/eldercare through a simple, easy-to-use app. The service is designed to support our people’s wellbeing with care options that fit seamlessly around both work and life.

Building a network for working parents

The Working Families Network provides opportunities for coaching, support, and peer-to-peer advice. It also shares experience, insight, and feedback on making PA a better place to work and where working parents and carers/caregivers can thrive. Within the network is a community for parents of children with additional needs, which offers a safe space for parents to share experiences and provide each other with valuable insights and support on topics such as navigating a child's education, accessing support services, or juggling work and caregiving responsibilities.

Learning and workshops

Over the course of the year, we have offered seminars and workshops for parents and carers, on topics such as successfully managing a family, alongside a rewarding career, managing family finances and planning for US college tuition fees.
