How we’re driving progress

Creating an inclusive environment for our LGBTQ+ colleagues and communities

Partnering with Pride

We work closely with our Pride Network to deliver a series of activities that span the year and aren’t just limited to Pride Month. The network has delivered a range of engaging learning content, including a Rainbow Briefcase Podcast series and intersectional educational events touching on themes of LGBTQ+ identity and gender, neurodiversity, and race.

Learning with Pride

Our Pride network has created an interactive learning programme to demystify some of the terminology and identities that exist in the LGBTQ+ community. The content is interactive and personal, and helps our people to better understand the various spectrums that make up our LGBTQ+ community.

Joining in allyship

We encourage people from across PA to join in acts of allyship towards the LGBTQ+ community. We run workshops on active allyship and encourage our people to pledge actions towards LGBTQ+ inclusion with pledge boards in our offices during Pride Month.

Advocating for change

In 2024, we were headline sponsor of the first ever Workplace LGBTQ+ Conference in Belfast, Northern Ireland, partnering with the Rainbow Project and Stonewall. We also participated in the conference with speakers from PA hosting a panel with other sponsors to discuss the LGBTQ+ experience in the workplace. We were recognised as finalists in the ‘Advocate of the Year’ category at the 2024 LGBTQ+ Defence Awards, which drives greater LGBTQ+ visibility across the UK’s Armed Forces and related industries.

Building local partnerships

In 2024, we established a partnership with LGBT Danmark, Denmark’s leading LGBTQ+ inclusion membership body. We have worked with them to deliver awareness raising on LGBTQ+ inclusion topics across the Nordics region. We also continue to partner with Stonewall to support our work on LGBTQ+ inclusion in the UK.
