Sharad explains that organisations have a choice. “They can treat GDPR simply as another compliance issue, or they can take a more business and customer-centric approach.”

He goes on to say that the latter allows firms to manage personal data in a way that helps to make more informed decisions. “This creates a better experience for both customers and stakeholders,” explains Sharad.
