We built an integrated talent management approach for a newly merged global media organisation in just six months

Designing talent management infrastructure and processes

When two companies merge, they often discover they have different approaches to talent management. Following a deal that created a multinational media and information business, the new organisation saw it needed to develop an integrated approach to talent management. And with its annual talent review just six months away, it needed to move fast.

Our experts worked alongside HR leaders and projects teams responsible for seven key work streams: vision & philosophy; talent definition, identification; development, movement; organisational capability; and talent systems. We made sure best practice from both organisations was incorporated into the new approach and that all elements of talent management came together in an integrated process that was exactly right for the client. 

Having helped implement the new processes in one of the core business units, we went on to provide project management support to ensure that momentum was maintained as the new approach was rolled out across the organisation. By developing effective communications plans, finding ways to build essential capability and resolving any issues, we ensured the full programme was delivered within the target timeframe.
