PA launches new solution for future-proofing talent

PA Consulting Group has launched a new tool to help companies ensure their talent is fit for purpose, both now and in the future.

Talent Gene is a suite of online tools based on extensive research with leading companies. It provides a unique multi-layered system that enables organisations to improve the way they manage the attraction, retention and development of talent.

Lesley Uren, talent management expert at PA Consulting Group, says: “Talent management has never been more important or more difficult but many leaders struggle to implement effective strategies and find their current approaches are no longer delivering results. The range of options provided by Talent Gene enables them to develop the right talent management system to meet the challenges of today’s demanding and uncertain world.”

Talent Gene CEO Dr Amanda Potter says: “Talent Gene takes a strengths-based approach that acknowledges that everyone is different, and identifies each individual’s unique combination of behaviours, expertise, strengths and values. However, the question employers need to ask after identifying in what way an individual is talented, is whether or not the individual has the right potential fit for the future challenges and goals of the organisation. Talent Gene can help you identify those who have the ‘best fit’ for the future.”

Talent Gene’s online tools are highly flexible and allow clients to select and customise the support they need from 15 integrated but independent talent management products.

At the heart of Talent Gene’s approach is a Behaviours, Expertise, Strengths and Tenets system, which helps the organisation define the behavioural and cultural requirements they need from both new and existing employees. It then provides a range of tools that can be used to support the identification of potential, the development and promotion of talent, and the retention of that talent.

Underpinning all this work is the recognition that the rigorous measurement and tracking of both potential and performance is a fundamental part of identifying and developing talent. Talent Gene meets this need by providing organisations with the data and analytics they need to understand their talent, measure its impact and benchmark it against key business performance requirements.

By bringing together Talent Gene’s tested techniques with PA’s consultancy expertise, organisations now have access to the tools and support they need to meet today’s talent management challenges successfully.
