PA Consulting (PA), the global innovation and transformation consultancy that’s bringing ingenuity to life, announces four innovations developed by its award-winning family of design studios have been honored as finalists in the Fast Company 2020 Innovation by Design Awards.
The Innovation by Design awards recognize people, teams, and companies solving problems through the power of design. One of the most sought-after accolades in the industry, Fast Company’s Innovation by Design program is the only competition to honor creative work at the intersection of design, business, and innovation.
Essential Design partnered with world renowned makeup artist Terri Bryant and her Guide Beauty team to reimagine makeup and how it is applied. Essential Design worked with Guide Beauty to establish its brand from initial product ideation to market launch and created a fresh line of beauty tools that use universal design principles. The products feature integrated stability points that offer users more control and ergonomic forms that are easier to hold and open than traditional tools.
Guide Beauty also received a "Best of Beauty 2020" award from Allure Magazine, and a "Best of 2020" award from Oprah Magazine.
Additionally, three projects by Astro Studios were honored as finalists in Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Awards for 2020. Colgate Plaqless Pro Toothbrush project was named as a finalist in the Wellness category, while Astro’s collaborations with Stokke on the Clikk High Chair and with Western Digital to design their WD_Black Brand Identity System were finalists in the Home and Graphic Design categories, respectively.
Both Essential Design and Astro Studios are integral elements in PA Consulting’s end-to-end innovation offer for clients, and work in collaboration to bring ingenuity to life.
