PA Consulting (PA), the consultancy that’s bringing ingenuity to life, has been awarded accreditation on the Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) new ASSURE scheme.
The ASSURE scheme is developed in partnership with CREST, the not-for-profit accreditation and certification body for the technical security industry. The strategy seeks to enable the aviation industry to manage their cyber security risks without compromising aviation security or resilience, and supports the UK government’s National Cyber Security Strategy.
The team has undergone a rigorous application process to be able to audit aviation organisations’ cyber assessment frameworks on behalf of the CAA. PA experts demonstrated extensive knowledge including direct client input, in the following specialisms: cyber audit and risk management, technical cyber security and industrial control systems/operational technology expertise.
Tim Ogle, cyber security expert at PA Consulting comments: “We’re very proud of this achievement and are only one of 8 firms to receive this accreditation. The selection process for this certification is highly rigorous and it strengthens our expertise and services offering for our existing and potential clients, especially in the aviation sector.”
Justin Lowe, digital trust and cyber security expert at PA Consulting says: “This accreditation further proves our expertise across cyber and information security risk, as well as our broad understanding of the aviation industry. The ASSURE framework gives us the opportunity to continue to build on our existing airport and aviation work and help further improve the safety and resilience of the aviation industry.”
