Jason Harborow has been appointed by PA Consulting Group as the firm’s Head of Middle East and North Africa based in Abu Dhabi.
Harborow, who has held a variety of leadership roles for major sports, cultural, entertainment, tourism and education organisations in the UAE and his native UK, was formerly Chief Executive Officer of Tamkeen LLC for almost five years – a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi’s Executive Affairs Authority.
In his new role with PA Consulting Group he assumes control of regional operations for the employee-owned consulting firm which has expertise in energy and utilities, financial services, health, life sciences, consumer and manufacturing, government, defence and security, transport and logistics.

Harborow has extensive experience in creating start-up companies and delivering successful time critical projects with significant budgets and complex stakeholder relationships and challenges.
He has also overseen projects of national and international significance, ranging from major sports facility developments to world sports and cultural events.
He is a former Operations Director of the Rugby League Cup, was General Manager at the Manchester Commonwealth Games in 2002, served as CEO of Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture 2008 and was CEO of Surrey Sports Park.
Harborow is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts as well as a Board Member of the Strategic Advisory Board for the British Embassy in the UAE. He was a Member of the UK’s National Culture and Creativity Advisory Forum to the London 2012 Olympics Games.
