PA awarded 2010 CARE Denmark Prize for our long collaboration with CARE

"It is not every day that we receive an award like this. We are very proud and honored."

28 April 2011

On 27 April PA Consulting Group was awarded the 2010 CARE Denmark Prize for our long collaboration with the charity. CARE is a global confederation of 12 member organisations that work together to drive programmes that aim to end poverty. The CARE Denmark Award is awarded annually and is founded to “give a little back” to people who make an extraordinary effort to support CARE's work to strengthen some of the world's poorest and most vulnerable people.

“It is not every day that we receive an award like this. We are very proud and honored,” commented Kristian Fischer of PA Consulting Group, and leader of PA’s ‘Giving Back’ programme in Denmark. “Our employees have responded positively to the recognition of our efforts. It shows that we are not just a traditional consulting company, but that we think beyond our remit and try to give something back to society.”

In the nomination CARE writes:

"We had many candidates for this year's CARE Award. Many creative, persistent and hardworking people have engaged in CARE's work and used their abilities, experience, networking and above all time to support CARE's work.

Yet there was a group that we think deserve the prize more than the other candidates. PA Consulting Group has over the years done a lot for CARE. They have for years collected for our cause through their fine "Executive Seminars" in which ministers, leading businessmen and even a prince (and patron) share their knowledge and experience to a large crowd of leaders.

And recently a group of 10 talented, dedicated consultants at PA Consulting Group have worked closely with CARE to develop a strategy for CARE's business partnerships. We are extremely pleased with the very thorough, professional product that has great, great application for CARE.

But their Giving Back & Volunteering initiative is the decisive element. For CARE, GBV is a great example of how companies and employees can engage in humanitarian work.

Thanks to PA Consulting Group - and thanks to the talented, dedicated staff and many thanks for the strategy."
