Speeding up the outsourcing process

Jesper Kildebogaard

17 February 2014

PA outsourcing expert Mike Polczynski is quoted in an article looking at how businesses can speed up the outsourcing process.

The article argues that, while the decision to put a company’s most critical IT systems in the hands of others is a major decision requiring substantial preparation, it doesn’t need to be a lengthy process. It cites the example of global wind energy manufacturer Vestas, which outsourced its Global Data Centre with support from PA. From project start to staff transfer, the entire sourcing process was done in a record-breaking ten weeks.

“These days, companies are much more focused and engage rapidly with the service providers they believe are a good fit. What traditionally could take 10–18 months is now being done within 4–6 months,” says Mike.
