Mercedes-Benz EQC: Comfortable cruiser leads the electric charge

PA Consulting’s CO2 emissions research has been featured in The Sunday Times’ article on the new Mercedes-Benz EQC model.

The article discusses the threat that the coronavirus outbreak poses to the global automotive supply chain as well as the challenge for leading car manufacturers to meet more stringent carbon emissions rules. It then goes on to review the characteristics of the new EQC model.

The article quotes PA’s report which states that Mercedes needs to reduce its CO2 emissions to 103.1g per km by 2021 or it will face up to €1bn in penalties. The article indicates that this will be difficult for the company to meet if it does not produce enough batteries and EQCs as planned.
