Mixed views on profile boost

PA's Edward Savage, a procurement specialist, is quoted in Supply Management commenting on the role of the procurement professional in reducing the budget deficit following the UK election.

Edward said that, although the profile of the profession had not necessarily increased, there was much work for procurement people as a result of the issues raised: “I do think the manifestos all suggest significant work for the profession post-election – especially to deliver increased cost reductions from further improving pan-government co-operation on purchasing.”
