Innovation as unusual

PA Consulting Group’s research is profiled on Sky News’ Ian King Live show. The PA report, ‘Innovation as unusual’ formed the basis of an interview with McLaren and the news item also focuses on the concept of an innovation drain -  where good ideas are wasted for avoidable reasons - which was identified in our report.

The news item begins by reporting on PA’s finding that UK organisations are flushing nearly £65 billion down the drain each year on wasted innovation ideas. Sky News’ Ian King visits McLaren to find out how it ensures innovation contributes to its success.

The interview goes on to discuss whether some countries are better than others at innovation. PA’s report found that, with the exception of Belgium and Luxemburg, the proportion of UK organisations that say they talk about innovation more than they actually do innovation is more than any other country surveyed.

The interview goes on to talk about how organisations can overcome their innovation challenges.
