PA’s Uli Brunner, energy expert, has been quoted in an article on gas and nuclear energy in Platts International Gas Report.

Nuclear produces virtually no CO₂ emissions and although gas is cleaner, it still produces greenhouse gases. With the UK aiming to cut greenhouse emissions, Uli addresses carbon capture and storage (CCS) - a solution the government is looking at to ensure emissions are cut by 2050.

Uli says: “I don’t think CCS will fly for a long time. There are a lot of issues to address such as stopping CO₂ leaks and underground storage could be very costly."
