HR Tech Talk: Learning to love HR software

Cath Everett

Personnel Today

27 February 2015

PA’s Jonathon Hogg, a people and operations expert, is quoted in an article in Personnel Today about technology in HR.

The article explains that businesses in Western Europe spent 2.5 billion Euros on HR software systems last year.

The article looks at the views of a number of experts of how they think HR professionals can learn to love the technology that supports them.

Jonathon comments on how HR professionals can make the best of becoming more tech-savvy. He explains that volunteering to help out on cross-functional projects is an option, however it can be tricky getting that all-important experience under your belt.

If it does prove impossible though, Jonathon advises to “try reading up and going to conferences to familiarise yourself with what’s happening so you can stay abreast of the trends as much as possible”.
