Can Cambridge become the world's leading biotech cluster?

PA Consulting’s chief innovation officer Frazer Bennett talks to Management Today about the Cambridge technology cluster and how it can become the world's leading biotech cluster.

The article talks about the recent proliferation of life sciences companies in and around Cambridge, the second wave of this 50-year-old phenomenon, and how it is contributing to an extraordinary concentration of innovation in the city.

Talking from PA’s Global Innovation and Technology Centre, Frazer says: “We have busloads of people turning up to figure out why Cambridge is able to support so much profitable innovation and how they can create this same thing."

The article goes on to talk about how professional services companies like PA are supporting the entrepreneurial community in Cambridge by offering “practical expertise [that] allow local start-ups the luxury of a soft launch by providing lab space, equipment and short-term skilled labour in exchange for a fee.”
