PA discusses the benefits of the sharing economy. PA says that if traditional companies, such as hotels and private taxi companies, want to survive, they need to embrace its concept of sharing human and physical resources.
PA says: “Existing players already have the customers, necessary market knowledge and funding needed to use business models based on the concept of the sharing economy. This will allow them to compete against new companies entering the market.
“Large companies are often afraid of expanding into new business areas as they risk sabotaging existing ones, but they need to do it.”
PA is convinced that the sharing economy will gain momentum: “It challenges the existing rules in areas such as insurance and protection of the consumer. However, it makes sense to make the most of existing capacity in terms of the environment and the economy.”
