Rachel McCormack

21 June 2013

Invezz has reported on research by PA Consulting Group which finds that wind energy opportunities have significantly boosted the UK’s position as an attractive location for investors in renewable energy. The research, which forms the basis of PA’s Energy Investment Map, an online tool for investors, finds that Britain ranks sixth out of 30 countries in Europe, Asia Pacific, the Gulf, BRICS as well as the US for investment in renewable energy.

The article reports that China, Sweden, Denmark, Austria and the Philippines dominate PA’s renewable energy index, with the Arabian Peninsula also making significant progress. It also looks to the other end of the index, where Singapore takes bottom position due to its reliance on gas and little interest in renewable energy.
