Inframation News discusses how PA Consulting is growing its infrastructure team with three hires to target new sectors.
PA Consulting’s latest addition is Aris Karcanias as global head of its energy and utilities, the company said 1 February. Karcanias was previously a senior managing director and co-lead of the global clean energy practice at FTI Consulting.
PA Consulting last month also hired Greg Bradley a former Arcadis managing director and business advisory practice leader, with extensive experience in utilities and transport.
With Bradley’s addition, PA Consulting, which is mainly known for its work on regulated industries, due diligence and price reviews, is looking to strengthen its asset management advisory team.
Bradley will be a partner in PA Consulting’s energy and utilities team, led by Karcanias, but will also focus on the firm’s asset management business in utilities and transport.
PA Consulting has worked with Network Rail and Highways England in the past.
At Arcadis, Bradley worked closely with Southern Water on its construction and maintenance contracts, and also worked on Network Rail’s digitalisation programme.
PA Consulting’s recent string of infrastructure-related appointments also include Gus Hochschild, who joined in January as partner at the firm’s energy and utilities team, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Hochschild spent six years at the UK government’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, where he set up the department’s equity and corporate finance advisory team, working with UK and European energy majors and providing advice to government and international investors.
With its newly strengthened infrastructure teams, PA Consulting will also look to grow its footprint in developing sectors such as rail and fibre, digital infrastructure, EV charging infrastructure and clean energy.
The three recent additions join Liz Parminter, who has been a partner in the energy and utilities team since 2010.
