PA’s John Skipper, a data protection expert, is quoted in the Financial Times Connected Business special report on cyber security. The article looks at the challenge of meeting data protection and privacy laws, especially where they operate across borders.

John highlights the challenges that cheap storage can bring and the importance of checking the small print of any contracts: “Unless it’s set out that a provider complies with EU rules, it probably doesn’t.”

John urges IT and legal teams to make those checks.
