Fiat Chrysler pools fleet with Tesla to avoid EU emissions fines

PA Consulting’s latest CO2 emissions research for car makers is featured in a story by the Financial Times.

The report noted latest news that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has agreed to pay Tesla hundreds of millions of euros so its vehicles are counted in its fleet in order to avoid large fines for breaking EU emissions rules.

The article noted PA’s latest research, which predicted that FCA was likely to exceed the target by 6.7 grammes of CO2 per kilometre – the biggest gap among the 13 car makers it profiled.
