Europe’s chief executives see sluggish 2010

Richard Milne
Financial Times
4 January 2010

PA Consulting Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Alan Middleton, is quoted in this Financial Times article on the shape of the economy in 2010.

Alan Middleton says: “You shouldn’t let a good crisis go to waste. You should be looking at the fitness of your business for the future.”

He says that the three priorities for companies at the moment are to ensure that they have enough liquidity, not to think it is business as usual and things will return to pre-crisis ways, and to make sure that no parts of the business are being propped up by healthier bits.

Alan’s comments are taken from his video interview for the Financial Times View from the Top, the Financial Times’ series of video interviews with CEOs from leading global organisations. You can watch the video in full here.
