Boom years over for diesel car parts suppliers

PA Consulting’s Tim Lawrence, head of global manufacturing, is quoted in article in the Financial Times. The article looks at the difficulties being faced by diesel car parts suppliers as UK diesel sales have fallen by a third in the first seven months of the year. The impact of the decline in sales is, the article reports, rippling through the web of businesses that make everything from handbrake levers and fuel injectors to electrical equipment. 

Talking about the wider consequences of the decline, Tim says: “I think there is a risk to some of the facilities that are diesel dedicated unless they find other global business.”
