Bad blood - the future of cyber security

Graham Buck
Continuity Insurance & Risk Magazine
August 2009

Continuity Insurance & Risk Magazine’s cover story on the rise of online fraud ‘Bad Blood’, quotes Stuart Anderson, resilience specialist at PA Consulting Group.

With online fraud now worth over £50bn a year worldwide the article looks at why cash strapped governments are still committing new resources to cyber security.

Stuart Anderson comments on the prominence of cyber security, saying "At a time of global financial crisis, when so many demands are already being made on the public purse, it is remarkable that both the US and UK governments are committing significant new resources together with new national approaches to cyber security."

The article goes on to examine the measures the UK government has taken to tackle online crime and how risk managers should respond to the challenge of cyber security.
