Gösta Ljungberg, PA sourcing expert, is quoted in an article covering the results of the biggest IT outsourcing survey in the Nordics this year.
The article highlights how Indian companies have proved to be the most popular, and the Americans the least popular, in a customer satisfaction survey of the Swedish outsourcing market. Tata Consultancy Services is ranked top, while HP comes in at last place (with a 61% satisfaction rate) in the research conducted by PA Consulting Group and Whitelane Research.
Gösta explains that the standard for customer service in the market is generally high, with the top three companies achieving a customer satisfaction rate of over 80%.
Giving his insights into why they have proved so popular, he says: “I think the companies at the top are sensitive to client requests but also quite selective. They don’t struggle to win any request for proposals but rather choose their clients carefully.”
“Based on our experience, the companies positioned at the bottom are less selective in their choice of clients and have a more comprehensive volume of contracts. However, we must remember that HP clients in general are very satisfied.”
Gösta continues “Overall, this is a mature market with very satisfied clients. This is extremely positive news and proves that outsourcing today is a more widely accepted business model. I think we'll see even more outsourcing in the future.”
More than 1,000 IT outsourcing contracts held by over 350 organisations in the Nordic were investigated by PA and Whitelane Research. In Sweden alone, nearly 400 contracts were assessed
