PA IN THE MEDIA

Attack on the system

"The world is becoming more dangerous day by day. Techniques that were once the preserve only of the very well-resourced [cyber attacker] are now available to anyone, and you don’t need technical knowledge to use them."

ED SAVAGE, PA CYBER SECURITY EXPERT

PA’s Ed Savage, cyber security expert, is quoted in an article in CNBC Business magazine. Ed gives his views on how organisations can fight back from cyber attacks.

Ed comments on how anonymous attacks are making firms think carefully about what they are doing: "The world is becoming more dangerous day by day. Techniques that were once the preserve only of the very well-resourced [cyber attacker] are now available to anyone, and you don’t need technical knowledge to use them."

Ed goes on to give his views on how companies should stop cyber criminals: "The mistake many companies make is thinking security is a technical problem, but often it is social-engineering attacks or phishing scams. Even if you have data-loss prevention and anti-virus software, that won’t stop someone who can obtain a valid username and password."
