Universities attracting A-level students

Channel 5 News

14 August 2014

PA Consulting Group’s Mike Boxall, a higher education expert, is interviewed by Channel 5 News about why some universities are going to great lengths to attract students.

With more places available for students, universities are using incentives such as lap tops, gym memberships and cash to entice students to enrol, but students are warned to view these tactics cautiously.

Mike comments on why universities are using gimmicks to tempt students to their institution: “It shows just how keen universities are to attract students because every student carries with them £27,000 of fees.”
