Joining forces to lower administration costs in pension funds

Jakob Martini

7 June 2013

Martin Tillisch, PA insurance and transformation expert, is quoted in an article about how Danish pension companies can help their customers to save money by entering into partnerships.

Danish pension companies AP Pension and ISP have entered into a partnership which sees AP Pension take over the handling of ISP’s pension plans for ISP clients, saving them 40 per cent of the overall administration costs. Martin has examined the overall administration costs in the Danish pension sector and believes that they are far too high because many pension funds stand alone, instead of joining forces.

Martin says: “The pension companies that have simplified their administration costs are half as expensive as their competitors.”
