Artificial intelligence will challenge the job market

PA finance expert, Stefan Knapp, has had a byline article published in, talking about artificial intelligence and its influence on the job market.

Research shows that robots and automation will take over one-third of all service jobs before 2040, and that the rapid development of artificial intelligence will open up entirely new jobs and work tasks to the possibility of automation. Replacing doctors and lawyers seemed a pipe dream 100 years ago; today it is becoming a reality. This development requires professionals to acquire new competencies.

Stefan says: “Within the legal industry, the focus is on efficiency improvement and ensuring that lawyers spend their time on actual legal work rather than on administrative tasks that could be handled by IT systems and software. Some law firms already use artificial intelligence to scan and read legal documents.”

According to Stefan, companies must be more visionary and consider how the use of robot technology and automation can create time for people to solve more important tasks: “We need to find new challenges and work tasks that only humans can solve. But we also need to prepare for the fact that these tasks may be taken over by artificial intelligence at some point.”
